The Companies Act 2016 (CA2016) came into effect in January 2017 and has changed the business landscape in Malaysia significantly. Simplified processes, new corporate rescue mechanisms, enhanced corporate governance and extended directors’ duties and responsibilities are some key changes affecting business operations.
